Rashmi Gupta graduated from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad in 2008, and has been working in the field of Graphic Design since. She designs publications, ranging from magazines and newspapers to formal, corporate portfolios. She provides brand solutions and strategy for startups as well as established companies. Rashmi also lends her art of storytelling through illustrations for restaurant graphics, packaging, and editorials. Some of her clients include Harper Collins India, Flurys, The Wishing Chair, Samvardhana Motherson Group, Tushita Travels, Arriba Restaurant, Ryan International School and Ashoka University. She worked with Doha Film Institute on the branding of their film festival, Qumra, for the year 2017, as well as developed campaign illustrations for the youth film festival Ajyal, 2017.
Before setting up her individual practice, Rashmi worked at a design studio as a senior designer where she had several responsibilities. These ranged from managing a design team to handling projects as well as dealing directly with clients, besides for actual design work. This experience taught her how to be part of a team with members of different sets of skills. It also helped develop her own abilities as a designer. For the last few years she has found her interest leaning towards illustrating and working on more self initiated art projects.
Apart from design and illustration, Rashmi’s biggest passion is rock climbing, which inspires her to travel to unique places and write about it. She is also fanatical about her morning coffee and likes to only eat in restaurants with well designed graphics.
